A consortium of G DF SUEZ, IBERDROLA and Scottish and Southern Energy Plc has been successful in securing an option to purchase land for the development of a new nuclear power station at Sellafield from the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority for £70m.

National Decommissioning Authority NDA is seeking views on a draft charter that aims to foster good working relations throughout its supply chain.
The NDA has a duty to monitor the performance of all plants within its ownership and the performance of the Sellafield MOX Plant (SMP) has been of concern to the NDA since its formation in 2005.
