Most of the 470 commercial nuclear power reactors operating or under construction in the world today require uranium ‘enriched’ in the U-235 isotope for their fuel.
The NDA has now concluded an agreement with Westinghouse Electric Company that will secure the future of the Springfields nuclear facility in Preston. Negotiations on the deal began last year.
