The NDA is requesting applications to its bursary scheme, to help deliver the NDA mission to deliver safe, sustainable and publicly acceptable solutions to the challenge of nuclear clean-up and waste management. This year, up to £500,000 is available and Universities and Research Institutes are invited to make proposals in one or more of the following technical areas:
- Waste characterisation including contaminated land
- Decontamination techniques
- Decommissioning techniques
- Wasteform development
- Remote operation including robotics
Applications in other areas will not be considered. Funding will be available for PhD projects and from SMEs seeking ‘top-up’ funding for approved CASE awards and EngDocs in relevant areas.
