NuGen applies to Ofgem for Generating Licence

NuGen has applied to regulators Ofgem for a generating licence.

The UK nuclear company, owned by IBERDROLA and GDF SUEZ, has applied for the licence as part of the process in developing its Moorside project in West Cumbria.

NuGen aims to develop up to 3.6GW of new nuclear capacity on land it has an option to acquire from the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
