The event, which is taking place on Monday 18 March at The Bull Hotel, enables local people to call in ask questions about plans for a new nuclear power station at Wylfa.
Horizon’s plans to construct and operate a new nuclear power station at Wylfa will create a peak workforce of up to 6,000 during construction and a further 1,000 permanent jobs over many decades. As with previous monthly Open Surgeries, Horizon’s project team will be on hand between 1pm and 7pm to answer questions and listen to feedback.
The team will base itself in the Coach House at the rear of The Bull Hotel. Alan Smith, Head of Site Development at Horizon Nuclear Power, said: “Since our acquisition by Hitachi at the end of last year, we have been busy assessing the options for developing our sites and the likely timelines. We’ll share more detail about our proposals in the months ahead.
In the meantime, we continue to hold our monthly community events and anyone who has any questions is very welcome to call in and meet us.” Horizon’s team can also be contacted via its Wylfa information line on 0800 954 9516 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
