UK NAO Sellafield report plays vital role in decommissioning tasks

Jason Deign at Nuclear Energy Insider has written a post on the vital role of the NAO Sellafield report in decommissioning work.

A National Audit Office report and Public Accounts Committee hearing over Sellafield are part of a process that is important for the whole decommissioning supply chain in the UK.

Decommissioning jobs do not get much bigger than Sellafield. The UK nuclear reprocessing plant is allegedly home to the two most hazardous buildings in Western Europe. As a result it is perhaps not surprising the cost of the work has escalated.
