July sees Horizon Nuclear Power return to Llangefni for its next Open Surgery. The event, which is taking place on Monday 15 July at The Bull Hotel, enables local people to call in asking questions about the proposed new nuclear power station at Wylfa on Anglesey.
Horizon’s proposals to construct and operate a new nuclear power station at Wylfa will create a peak workforce of up to 6,000 during construction and around a further 1,000 permanent jobs over many decades to operate the plant.
As with previous monthly Open Surgeries, Horizon’s project team will be available between 1pm and 7pm. The team will base itself in the Coach House at the rear of The Bull Hotel.
Alan Smith, Head of Site Development at Horizon Nuclear Power, said: “We’re pleased to be returning to Llangefni in July and would encourage anyone with questions or feedback on our project to call in and meet the team.
“Our team will also be on hand at the Anglesey Show on the 13th and 14th of August. It‘s the fifth year running that we’ll have a presence there and is always a great way to chat to people from across the island and North Wales who may not have time to pop along to our monthly events.”
Anyone with questions about Horizon’s project can also contact the team via a Freephone hotline on 0800 954 9516 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
