With members of Horizon’s project development team available between 1 pm and 7 pm, these monthly community events give local people the opportunity to discuss the Wylfa Newydd project without needing to book an appointment.
Richard Foxhall from Horizon said: “Our Llangefni Open Surgeries are always popular events, and this will be our first visit to the town in 2014 so we’re expecting a good turnout. Ahead of our first phase of formal consultation later this year, we’ll continue to hold our Open Surgeries so people can keep up to date with the Wylfa Newydd project.”
Horizon’s Wylfa Newydd nuclear power station will create up to 1,000 permanent jobs over the many decades that the plant will be in operation and will require a peak workforce of up to 6,000 during the construction phase. There will also be significant opportunities for local businesses to play a part in the project.
