Seminar on Decommissioning and Waste Management

NI Cumbria 150A Seminar on Decommissioning and Waste Management will take place Tuesday 10 June at Westlakes Science Park Cumbria.

This one-day seminar, organised by Nu-Tech Exhibitions + Events on behalf of the Nuclear Institute (Cumbria Branch) will consider all aspects of the decommissioning and waste management sector by highlighting the achievements and aspirations of some of the largest and most complex sites in the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) estate as well as offer an insight into the novel techniques intended to meet their challenges.

Much has already been done to deliver safe, sustainable and publicly acceptable solutions to the challenges of nuclear clean-up and waste management. But recognition is also given to the fact that that decommissioning and waste management continues to be a very significant activity and is vital to supporting plant operations and the longer-term prospects of a new build programme. The Nuclear Institute (Cumbria Branch) Seminar on Decommissioning and Waste Management 2014 aims to bring together an attractive programme of speakers.
