Horizon April Open Surgery

horizon-logoHorizon Nuclear Power returns to the Village Hall, Cemaes for its Open Surgery on Monday 14 April.

These popular monthly community engagement events, which run as an open forum between 1 pm and 7 pm, give local people the opportunity to discuss the Wylfa Newydd project directly with members of Horizon?s development team.
Richard Foxhall from Horizon said: “With our current phase of Ground Investigation works now well underway, there is a very noticeable increase of activity on the Wylfa Newydd site. The Open Surgery is an ideal way for local people to find out more about the work underway, or to ask any questions they may have regarding the project.
“We are preparing for our first phase of formal consultation later this year and will continue to hold our Open Surgeries so that local people can keep up to date with the Wylfa Newydd project. I?d like to extend a warm invitation to anyone who has any questions to call in and meet the team.”
Horizon?s Wylfa Newydd nuclear power station will create up to 1,000 permanent jobs over the many decades that the plant will be in operation and will require a peak workforce of up to 6,000 during the construction phase. There will also be significant opportunities for local businesses to play a part in the project.
