In addition to the full-time staff and contractors already based at the Anglesey office, Horizon will welcome three experienced project engineers and a new G4S security team of twelve to the Wylfa Newydd site.
Recruited from across Anglesey and North Wales, the new starters join the Wylfa Newydd project during Horizon’s busiest year to date and will play an important role in managing work on site over the coming months.
The new project engineers boost Horizon’s core team and will help to supervise ongoing preparatory works and investigative studies while the security team will be providing 24-hour security, keeping staff, property, facilities and vehicles secure.
Daron Hodges, Site Manager at Wylfa Newydd, said: “2014 has been a very busy year so far, and things are only going to get busier. At the moment we’re in the process of carrying out some of the most significant ground investigation studies anywhere in the country, and that means we’ve got a huge programme of work over the next 12 months. Not only does this need to be carefully managed and monitored, but we also need to ensure everything and everyone is kept safe and secure at all times – and we’re confident that we’re building up a highly skilled, expert team to do just that.”
