Sellafield Ltd Supplier Chain Awards scheme

Sellafield 200After the successes of the May 2014 Sellafield Ltd Supplier Awards scheme to showcase the very best performers within its supply chain, Sellafield Ltd are pleased to announce the second phase which provides an opportunity for supply chain partners to demonstrate their quality and performance highlights.

The second awards have been launched with a closing date of the 6th September 2014 and will again consist of four separate categories – Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Innovation, Supplier going the extra mile, Innovation from a large company and Best supply chain collaboration.

Sellafield Ltd Supply Chain Ombudsman Stuart Wilson said: “The awards proposals received from the first scheme held in May were excellent examples of business efficiencies and innovation with the awards winners being announced at the Sellafield Annual Supplier Forum.

Once again the awards offer an ideal opportunity to showcase and publicise the work of suppliers at all tier levels and they will be judged in such categories as safety performance, delivery service, quality of goods/services and excellence in providing a good customer service. Our supply chain partners deliver some fantastic packages of work and its great to recognise and reward best practice.”

Once again the Sellafield Ltd awards will dovetail neatly with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s (NDA) own Supply Chain Awards.

In turn, the applications for the Sellafield Ltd awards will go forward automatically into the NDA National Supplier Awards.

Entries must be returned by e-mail to by September 6th 2014 and the winners will be announced  in October 2014.

The judging panel will consist of:  Stuart Wilson, Supply Chain Ombudsman, Sellafield Ltd, a senior representative from Britain’s Energy Coast, a member of the Cumbria SME Steering Group and Sellafield Ltd’s  Commercial Lead team.
