New Magnox Supply Chain Strategy

magnox 150The purpose of this document is to communicate the interim supply chain strategy for 2015, the key messages Magnox wishes to share as a business, and to outline how the company will engage with and manage its supply chain during the current transition period into 2016.

The Cavendish Fluor Partnership (CFP) became the Parent Body Organisation for Magnox on 1 September 2014, selected by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) to take 12 historic nuclear sites into the final stages of
decommissioning.
The merger of Magnox Ltd and Research Sites Restoration Ltd (RSRL) was completed on 1 April, and saw these 12 sites unite under a single leadership team, with a simplified structure and a range of shared management systems.
The bid proposal submitted by CFP was based on information collated in early 2013, and as with any major programme of work, project and technological developments have since taken place. This has required a contract consolidation phase, working closely with the site licence companies and the NDA to understand these developments and undergo a transition period extending into 2016.
The Magnox fleet currently spends around £450M per annum through its supply chain, and it is therefore
imperative that Magnox Ltd continues to build strong supply chain relationships. Based on our current
funding profile, we would like to re-affirm our intention to deliver our decommissioning goals through
significant supply chain spending with large, medium and small sized suppliers.
