Nuclear industry assisting flood victims in Cumbria

8 December 201510 December 2015 Simon James 1300 Views cumbria, flood

The nuclear industry in Cumbria is playing its part in assisting the victims of the flooding in Cumbria. Sellafield has immediately allocated a senior project manager to coordinate with Cumbria County Council to match offers of help from Sellafield itself and its supply chain with community needs. Sellafield believes that the nuclear family should do its part to help their local community as they did during the 2009 floods.

Sellafield are currently assessing what help is needed and where they and their supply chain can help to deliver that.

This article will be updated when more information is available in particular how people can request help.
