Dounreay Stakeholder Group seeking new members

2 February 201617 February 2016 Simon James 1609 Views

The Dounreay Stakeholder Group (DSG) is seeking to strengthen capacity by increasing its membership to allow individuals who have previous knowledge and/or expertise in areas including health, safety, environment, waste or procurement to join the group. The DSG is an independent body whose role is to provide public scrutiny of the Dounreay site, by providing an active, two-way channel of communication between the site operators, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and local stakeholders.  The Ministry of Defence (MoD) site Vulcan is also part of the remit of the DSG.

Individuals do not require to be part of an organisation but must be able to demonstrate they have knowledge of some or all of the topics listed above.  Membership would be for a period of three years and is on a voluntary basis.  The role of public members is not accompanied by any financial remuneration.

Applications are open until 29 February by CV to: June Love, DSG Secretary on  info@dounreaystakeholdergroup.org
