EDF bosses recalled to Parliament over reported delay to Hinkley decision

Following reports that the French Economy Minister has said that the final investment decision for Hinkley Point C nuclear Power Station has been put back to May (see previous Nuclear Matters article) the Energy and Climate Change Select Committee has re-called senior representatives from EDF back to Parliament to explain this.

Commenting on the decision Committee Chair Angus MacNeil MP Chair said, “When EDF appeared before us in March, company bosses were insisting that a decision would be made in May. At that hearing we said that we would call them back in if that timetable slipped again and that’s what we are doing now.”

The date and time of the new hearing has not yet been announced.
