Horizon will hold its next Open Surgery at Llangefni’s Communities First Centre on Monday 21 May, at which local people can ask questions about plans for a new nuclear power station at Wylfa.
Russia’s state-owned nuclear energy enterprise Rosatom has said it would propose building the Generation III+ PWR 1200-MWe NPP 2006 in the UK.
Following today’s announcement regarding Horizon, Vincent de Rivaz, chief executive of EDF Energy, said: “EDF Energy and Centrica remain focused on our project and nothing has changed with regard to that. We are determined to make UK new nuclear a success.”
